Panasonic Avionics Corporation, a member of the Panasonic Corporation family of companies, installed a 750 kW Bloom Energy Server at the company’s global headquarters in Lake Forest, CA. Panasonic Avionics designs, develops, manufactures, and installs customized in-flight entertainment and communications (IFEC) solutions for the airline industry.

Why Bloom?

Panasonic has a long history of innovative and high quality products and was looking to incorporate on-site distributed power for its Lake Forest campus. The Bloom Energy Servers use an advanced solid oxide fuel cell technology to produce electricity with far fewer carbon emissions than other traditional power generation methods. The fuel cells generate enough power to provide 85% of the facility’s energy load.


Bloom Energy installed a 750 kW outside the parking lot. The company celebrated the completion of the parking lot with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in September 2013.
