Jim Hagemann Snabe is a global business leader with more than three decades of experience guiding multinational companies through digital transformation, industrial innovation and large-scale operational growth. He currently serves as Chairman of Siemens AG and holds a board position at Temasek. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees at the World Economic Forum and the Global Advisory Board of Deutsche Bank. In 2026, Jim was appointed EU Special Envoy for Industrial Artificial Intelligence, advising the Commission on maximizing AI’s potential across the EU.
Snabe brings deep expertise in advancing decarbonization and sustainability initiatives, and navigating complex regulatory and competitive environments across global industries. As the former Co-CEO of SAP AG, he led major digital and operational transformations and helped shape the company’s technology roadmap and global growth strategy. He also held senior leadership roles as Chairman of A.P. Moller – Maersk, Vice Chairman of Allianz SE, Chairman of Northvolt AB, and a director of C3.ai, Inc., where he had a track record integrating advanced technologies into established industries, and guided organizations through transformative change.
Educated in Denmark, Snabe holds a master’s degree in operational research from the Aarhus School of Business. In recognition of his work on digital transformation and its societal impact, he was appointed Adjunct Professor at Copenhagen Business School in 2016.
Snabe’s global governance and policy perspective supports Bloom’s ability to anticipate market, policy, and geopolitical developments affecting the energy transition.
